Computer-assisted language learning (CALL) is an approach to language teaching and learning in which computer technology is used as an aid to the presentation, reinforcement and assessment of material to be learned, usually including a substantial interactive element.

Features

Dominie and BonAccord are unique in being able to respond usefully to a very wide range of responses from the learner. The specially designed Help System included in each contains explanations of the language errors likely to be made by learners at this level. The explanations are written in simple language and the meaning of even the simplest grammatical terms is clearly explained. Both Dominie and BonAccord are based on the written work of a large number of learners.

Taking into account scientific research on French noun gender, Genders works by helping learners to form the associations by which native speakers of French distinguish whether nouns are masculine or feminine.
